Training Tips

With increasing dehydration and higher body temperatures associated with high-intensity activity, the rate of gastric emptying slows. This is an excellent reason for athlete to try, as much as possible, to maintain their hydration state during activity. Allowing dehydration to occur makes it almost impossible for the athlete to return to an adequately hydrated state during exercise.
